We meet for dinner at the Tschierva hut.

Day 2
Gabarrou Pillar on the Piz Bianco
We start along the same path towards Piz Roseg, but soon turn left and climb up the rugged and lonely glacier to the foot of the west pillar that descends from Piz Bianco. The Gabarrou route starts almost at its lowest point and leads us up to Piz Bianco. To our right is a classic snow/ice wall, the Bernina west wall. Over beautiful cracks, scales and structured plates we reach the pillar head in 10 pitches. In another 300 meters of climbing we reach the Piz Bianco. Depending on the conditions, the path leads us further over the Piz Bernina and to the Diavolezza or directly down over the Biancograt back to the Tschierva hut.

Skills
The Gabarrou Pillar requires a climbing level of six. The way to Piz Bernina or the descent over the Biancograt requires very good crampon technique and mountaineering experience.
