The only thing planned for Sunday is the journey to the wildly romantic Bergün. In winter, the small mountain village is particularly cosy: the Albula Pass, which connects Bergün with La Punt in the Engadine, is closed to traffic but makes an adventurous toboggan run.
Our place to stay, the historic Kurhaus Bergün, opened its doors in 1906 as the Grand Hotel. Today, the Kurhaus is a lively hotel that lures you into another world with its charm. Accommodation is in simple, gently and stylishly renovated art nouveau rooms. Let us take you to another world! The rooms can be occupied from 3 pm.
Arrive, slow down, relax and enjoy.
Monday - Wednesday
We meet at 8.00 a.m. at Bergün railway station, which is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The Rhaetian Railway takes us along the spectacular Albula line (Unesco World Heritage Site) to our starting points. From Preda there are many ski touring possibilities of different character. If the weather in the Albula Valley doesn't quite cooperate, the train will easily take us to the Engadine. Our mountain guide will always base the tour selection on the current prevailing conditions.
After a great day of ski touring, the hotel's own spa invites you to relax with 36 degree hot bubbling water and a sauna in the historic ice cellar. The restaurant celebrates young, honest, alpine cuisine and serves you a 3-course dinner in historic rooms.
