Day 1
Snowshoe hike from Pontresina to Alp Languard
We meet at the mountain guide office in Pontresina. We leave right from here and walk up through the village. After the last houses we strap on the snowshoes. Along the Röntgenweg we zigzag up through the beautiful Swiss stone pine forest. With a little luck we will observe one or the other animal, maybe we will even meet an ibex. As soon as we are above the tree line, we have a fantastic view of the Bernina massif. We climb even further and after about two hours we reach Alp Languard. From the backpack we strengthen ourselves and enjoy the panorama. The descent leads us somewhat more directly over open terrain back to Pontresina.
