        Ski tour Bernina Haute Route

        Day 1
        Piz Minor

        Meeting point 7.00 at the office of the Mountaineering school Pontresina. Welcoming, guide will control all material and then we will drive to the Bernina Pass. Ski tour on the Piz Minor (1000m, 3.5h) followed by a cable car ride to Diavolezza. At dinner we enjoy the great panorama of the Bernina range. Overnight stay in a 6-bed dorm room.

        Day 2
        Piz Palü

        Ski tour on the Piz Palü. The summit highlight of this ski crossing. We descend early in the morning to the Pers glacier, where we prepare ourselves for the ascent. We look for an easy way through the Cambrena quarries with its impressive glacial crevasses. At 3730 m we deposit our skis and climb with crampons and ice axe up to the eastern summit of the Piz Palü. If the circumstances are good, we'll go even further to the main summit. From the ski depot we drive via Pers- and Morteratsch glaciers to the Boval hut. Overnight stay in a shared room.
        With more than three participants, a second mountain guide will accompany us on this day to ensure maximum safety in the summit ascent.

        Day 3
        Fuorcla Misaun/Fuorcla Tschierva

        Today we will experience a quiet and secluded area of the Bernina area up close. You're in for a surprise. From Piz Tschierva we have a great view of Piz Bernina and its surrounding, not less impressive than its neighbours. From the Boval hut we climb to Fuorcla Misaun via Fuorcla Tschierva. The descent takes us to Lej da Vadret in Val Roseg. From there we climb to the Coaz hut.

        Day 4
        Il Chapütschin

        The last day takes us to the Chapütschin, at the back of the Val Roseg. From which we once again enjoy a fantastic view. The descent takes us to Sils Maria.

        3387 m 6 Stunden 800 hm / 3 h 1800 hm / 3 h
        The marked routes are only approximate information for the visualization of our offers. The routes must not be interpreted as GPS tracks. Detailed tour planning is essential. We reserve the right to make route changes.
        Skills
        Physically fit for ski tours up to 1200 m altitude ascent. Ski touring experience and good deep snow technique required. The tour on the Piz Palü requires sure-footedness, no fear of heights and crampon experience. The Bernina Haute Route is possible with splitboard, with very good touring experience. This tour is not recommended for snowboarders with snowshoes.

        Parking:
        At the bottom station of Diavolezza you can park for free.
        Public transport:
        10min walk from Pontresina station to the office of the Pontresina Mountaineering School.
        Accomodation / comfort
        Diavolezza & Hotel Roseg: Hotel Boval: simple SAC hut
        Good to know
        Packed lunches can also be purchased at the huts. So you don't have to carry all the provisions for the four days. When the Hotel Roseg is closed, we stay at The Station in Pontresina.
