Rock training with Piz Kesch

Day 1

Rock training in the climbing garden

We meet at the parking lot at the Albula Pass, where the hut trail to the Chamanna d' Es-cha begins (parking lot Punt Granda). After a hike of about 1.5 hours we reach the Es-cha hut. The afternoon is dedicated to training in the climbing garden near the hut. Here we find ideal terrain to teach you the basics of climbing on alpine tours. The focus is on: climbing and belaying techniques, knots and rappelling. Before dinner at the hut we do the tour planning for the next day.

Day 2

Piz Kesch 3418m

From the Es-cha hut we climb in ice and rock up to Piz Kesch and enjoy a beautiful view from the summit. The descent into the Engadine leads us past the Es-cha hut again.

Easy alpine tour, suitable for beginners (easy climbing in I. and II. degree).
