Day 1
Over the Bumiller Pillar to Piz Palü
From the mountain house Diavolezza we descend in the early hours to the Persgletscher. After 1.5 hours we reach the foot of the Bumiller pillar. First in the ice and then in beautiful rock climbing to under the spectacular ice face of the main summit. When we have climbed it, we are only a few meters away from the summit. The descent is along the normal route.
