We meet in the morning at the Hotel Hauser in St. Moritz. Then we drive to the train station Morteratsch. In the climbing garden in Morteratsch you take your first steps on the rock together as a family and climb up the ropes. Parents separately receive a basic training in belaying. The fun of climbing for all is the main goal, but our aim is also that you as a family learn to do toprope climbing and belaying independently (toprope=rope belaying on the rope deflected above).
After about four hours we make our way back to St. Moritz. At the hotel, parents enjoy a cool drink at the RooBar while the kids get an ice cream.
Today we have a lot going on. In the afternoon, the visit to the high ropes course Pontresina calls for us. Climbing, seesawing, balancing, hanging and scrambling - surrounded by magnificent nature. But first we look for the ibexes. In spring, the "Kings of the Alps" come right to the edge of the village of Pontresina. With a little luck, we'll get really close.
After the visit in the rope park we return to the hotel and look forward to a good dinner.
Together we set out on our final adventure. We start in Maloja and hike along the Lake Sils. At about halfway we reach the small village of Isola. Situated directly on the lake, we stop here and enjoy the view of the play of colors on Lake Sils before continuing on to Sils Maria. Here we end our family weekend in the Engadin. By bus we are back in St. Moritz in a little more than 30 minutes.
