Pleasure ski touring in Monstein
Ten kilometers south of Davos, on a sunny terrace, the small village Monstein is situate: a small Walser settlement with a very special charm. Many of the houses are built of wood, some even still covered with the traditional larch shingles. The wild and romantic landscape invites to wonderful ski tours.
Decelerate, relax, enjoy - that is the motto of our ski touring weekend in Monstein.
We will stay at the 120 year old ski touring hotel Ducan, which was renovated in 2008 in a gentle and natural way. The house offers budget and 3*** rooms that exude a soothing ambience with fragrant natural wood and cozy furnishings. The kitchen places special emphasis on fresh and regional products, which are served in the rustic Arvenstube.
Meeting point on Friday is at 10 am at the Hotel Ducan. The rooms are not yet ready for occupancy. If there is space, cars can already be parked at the hotel. After a short check of the equipment we will go on the first easy ski tour.
On the following days our ski tours start at 9 am. Besides the famous Büelenhorn, there are many other tours with panoramic peaks and rewarding slopes that we can tackle. The mountain guide chooses the ski tours according to the conditions and of course takes your needs and wishes into consideration.
In the course of our tours, we also use the time to refresh our off-piste know-how. Avalanche knowledge, prevention and rescue, as well as ascent technique and material knowledge will accompany us through the day.
