          Ice climbing in the Sertig

          It couldn't be more crazy. Ice-covered rock walls and frozen waterfalls not only look impressive - they also will be climbed from all positions! Every winter, mighty ice walls with imposing icicles emerge at the very back of the Sertig in Davos for varied routes. In Sertig people climb mainly multi-pitch routes up to 4 pitches 150 - 180 climbing meters. The difficulties vary from easy (WI 3) to very demanding (WI 5). So there is something for everyone.

          Skills
          First experience in ice climbing, such as a beginner or taster course. However, the Sertig is also suitable for advanced ice climbers (routes up to WI 5).

          Public transport:
          The starting point at the very back of the Sertig valley is also easily accessible by post bus from Davos.
          Good to know
          Warm gloves and a down jacket will keep you warm while belaying. For climbing we recommend thin gloves, which provide good grip.
