The 2nd Glacier Clean-Up Day last year was a great success again. Around 60 helpers collected around 740 kilograms of waste on the Pers Glacier. Among the items found were wooden skis, insulation mats, decades-old tanning cream, tins, a camera, scraps of fabric, aluminum foil, polystyrene and much more.
A unique opportunity to experience the wild glacier world of the Bernina massif up close and do it an honorable service at the same time.
The meeting point is at 8.00 a.m. at the ticket office at the Diavolezza valley station. Afterwards, we take the gondola up to the Diavolezza, where all helpers are equipped with harnesses and toboggans. After a short walk, it's time to get down to business on the glacier in small groups: we collect what we can. We return to the Diavolezza mountain station around midday.
