We meet in Chur and drive together up to the Kunkels. From there we tackle the approach to the Ringelspitzhütte, in about 1.5 hours we reach the hut.
From the Ringelspitzhütte we start in the direction of the glacier. We have to cross the small Taminser-Glacier. Then the climbing part starts. Around 4-6 pitches in the fourth grade along the Mittelgrat. On top we enjoy the breathtaking roundview. Since the Ringelspitz stands so alone and far away from the other, higher peaks, it opens up a distant view that is hard to beat, from the Wetterstein and the Ötztal mountains to the Weisshorn in Valais and the snow peaks of Bern, from the Adamello in the south to the dark heights of the Black Forest.
The descent goes via the "Morkopf" to the Ringelspitzhütte and on the hiking trail back to the car at the Kunkelspass.
